Wiggins Soccer Pulls from MYSA

Recently the Wiggins soccer program has pulled from the MSYA stating price and service as their primary reasons. The price to play within the MSYA is this year $15 per player and climbing to $16 per player soon. Is this price to high? There are other costs involved such as coach and referee clinics and other fees involving tournaments and travel. There are other organizations that are cheaper and provide more services, such as AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organziation) , SAY Soccer, and US Soccer Club. All these organization are less expensive and few of them offer more services and some less. (To view go to www.poplarvillesoccer.org site and go to link section)

As the Poplarville Soccer Club ponders its future in the soccer arena and look at starting our own youth program, what direction should we look to go? Should we stay the course of pursuing the MYSA charter or should we start looking seriously at the other organizations? My conversations with Wiggins has sparked some thought processes. Is this what is going to happen to other organizations within Mississippi? This is at least a topic for discussion so lets get too it!

What are your thoughts?
