The PAA Board voted to cut soccer to one season running at the same time as the paa football program, which hurts the kids who want to play both (and there are some) and they voted that no soccer team participates in tournaments.
Knowing what I know about soccer and its development this is a backward decision. It is taking soccer back to the stone age in Poplarville. We know have a men's and women's soccer team at the high school and with a unprogressive youth soccer program how do you think our high school teams are going to be?
Also with this tournament thing. Does this mean that football and baseball cannot participate in any tournament play? No All-Starts for baseball and the superbowl for the football program is out right?! Why does it seem that this PAA board is anti-soccer?
What do you Think!!!!

Poplarville Athletic Association
The Poplarville Soccer Program has been under the PAA for several years. A couple of years ago peaked to over 150 kids involved over the two seasons. Last season it dropped to a little over 100 kids. What do you feel the cause of this drop? Is it the kids or leadership? Are kids just loosing interest in soccer and moving on to other sports or is the leadership of the PAA (Board) the cause? Give me your opinions.
